Fallout 4: How To Get Every Ending In The Far Harbor DLC

Game Guide

In Fallout 4, off the coast of Maine, there is a mysterious island called Far Harbor. This downloadable content (DLC) offers an island with higher levels of radiation and a treacherous area for you to explore.

Note: This article includes spoilers for the various endings of the Far Harbor DLC.

There are three available main endings to the DLC which will allow you to choose the fate of several important locations on Far Harbor and the survival of those affected by your decisions. Once you have accessed the first three of DiMA’s memories during the Best Left Forgotten quest, you will be able to move forward with your decision on which ending you wish to proceed with.

Keep DiMA’s Secret

Through the quest The Way Life Should Be you uncover DiMA’s secret medical facility where you will have the opportunity to make a decision regarding his fate. You can choose to confront DiMA directly or to go to Allen Lee with the evidence you’ve uncovered.

If you choose to confront DiMA you can decide to forgive him and cover up his crime or you can try to encourage him to turn himself in. Each decision comes with potential consequences and prizes for you, so choose carefully.

If you decide to help DiMA cover up his secret, you will receive a unique synth armor called Acadia’s Shield. You will also begin the quest path that leads to peace via the Reformation quest.

Tell DiMA’s Secret

If you decide to tell Allen Lee of DiMA’s secret, or if you convince DiMA to turn himself in, you will trigger a possible raid on all of Acadia. If DiMA has the opportunity to please his case, you will have a chance to ask for the rest of Acadia to be spared, but this only happens if you’ve been helping the people of Far Harbor.

Likewise, if you tell Allen Lee about DiMA’s secret, you can’t stop the raid, but you can request to spare Avery’s life. If the raid goes forth, everyone inside Acadia will die however, you will receive a unique Lever Action Rifle named Lucky Eddy, as well as a perk that boosts your damage at low health.

Destroy Far Harbor

You can decide the fate of both Far Harbor and The Nucleus during the Cleansing the Land quest. You uncover both the Wind Farm Kill Switch and the Nuclear Launch Key allowing you to decide if you should only destroy Far Harbor or if you should destroy both.

If you decide that Far Harbor’s fate is to be destroyed, either by convincing DiMA this is the only choice or by going behind his back and doing it yourself, everyone in Far Harbor will be killed. This will also end any related quests.

This will grant you admiration from The Children of Atom allowing you to speak to the High Confessor Tektus to receive a Recom Marin Armor named Atom’s Bulwark as well as a perk that increases weapon damage based on radiation levels.

Destroy The Nucleus

With or without the High Confessor’s Tektus permission, you can choose to launch the nuclear missile inside The Nucleus causing the entire place to be destroyed along with The Children of Atom. This ends all side quests and gives you around thirty seconds to escape The Nucleus while The Children of Atom become hostile and attack.

This decision grants you a perk that increases all forms of damage resistance. Additionally, Allen Lee will give you some caps as a thank you for your decision.

Destroy Both Far Harbor And The Nucleus

If your decision lands on both Far Harbor and The Nucleus being destroyed, either at the same time or separately (to maximize your perks and rewards), keep in mind that DiMA will refuse to speak to you further although the remainder of Acadia won’t be hostile.

This decision will still grant you the aforementioned perks and rewards, but it will also cause additional side quests to be terminated and some hostility as previously mentioned.

Reformation

If you have chosen to keep DiMA’s secret, this will begin the Reformation quest, but it will involve replacing the High Confessor Tektus with a synth who will promote peace. If you choose to go through with this deed, you can return to DiMA to receive a perk that boosts your damage at low health.

This decision also ensures that all three factions remain peaceful and allows you to complete the additional side quests now available to you. Returning to the new High Confessor also still grants you the Atom’s Bulwark.

Close to Home

With your final decisions out of the way, you can now determine the fate of Kasumi through the Close to Home quest as long as she wasn’t lost and Acadia was spared during any of your previous choices.

Speaking to her will allow you to either encourage her to return home or to stay and begin a new life. Once you have helped her through her decision, return to Kenji and let him know of her choice to earn your reward which is a chest full of items.
